Sai Baba Shirdi

Shirdi Sai MandirShirdi, famous for its holy and beautiful shrine of Shirdi Sai Baba, is a village of Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state. Shirdi is located approximately 296 km from Mumbai and 110 km from Aurangabad City. It is known as the “Land of Sai”. Ahmednagar, which is at a distance of 85.2 km from Shirdi, is nearest city and its highly connected with other major cities.

Shirdi Temple Every year millions of devotees from all over India rush to Shirdi to get "Darshan" of Sai Baba of Shirdi. Saibaba of Shirdi lived between 1838 and 1918, whose real name, birthplace and date of birth are not known. He was a spiritual guru & a fakir, Saibaba in Shirdi was regarded with great respect by most of the people of India. It is said that Sai Baba lived in a mosque and after death his body was cremated in a temple. As Shirdi is only 110 km from Aurangabad city, is well connected Aurangabad by road and rail.

From Aurangabad to Shirdi, takes around 2 hours by road on the Nagpur-Aurangabad-Mumbai Highway. There are regular buses from Cidco or Central Bus Stand to Shirdi. You can also hire private travellers, like car, jeep, autorickshaw etc there are plenty of tour operator you can avail service from.
